This policy explains what information Chatly ("we", "us") collects through the chatly.app dashboard and the embeddable chat widget, and how it's used.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, email address and password hash when you sign up for a workspace.
• Conversation data: messages, attachments and contact details (name, email) submitted by your website visitors through the chat widget, pre-chat form or contact form.
• Usage data: pages visited on your site while chatting, browser, approximate location from IP, and session timing, used for visitor monitoring and fraud/bot detection.
• Channel credentials: if you connect WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger, the access tokens you provide are encrypted at rest.

How we use it

To operate the service you've signed up for: delivering chat messages in real time, storing conversation history, sending the email notifications you've configured, running the AI agent against the knowledge base you provide, and billing for paid plans through Paystack, Flutterwave or Stripe.

Who can see it

Data for a workspace is visible to the members of that workspace, scoped by the roles and permissions the workspace owner assigns. We do not sell visitor or customer data.

Data retention & deletion

You can export your account data and delete your account at any time from Settings → My account. Deleting a workspace removes its conversations, contacts and tickets.

Cookies

The dashboard and widget use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
